Remember that steel is a material that can rust if exposed to water and moisture for long periods of time. It is important that you try to keep the steel furniture dry, for example by using a furniture cover. Rust from inside or on the furniture can drip down and discolor the surface it is sitting on. Keep this in mind when placing it on your new wooden deck.

The paint or other surface treatment keeps the rust away, so it is important not to damage the coating. Solvents should not be used on painted or varnished steel as they will dissolve the coating and expose the rust.

For daily maintenance, use a soft cloth and soapy water. Always wipe the surface dry afterwards, avoiding excess water. If a rust stain is difficult to remove, you can use a soft cloth and pure alcohol.

To preserve the quality and appearance of your steel furniture, we recommend storing it in a dry place during the winter.
