The LED cordless outdoor light SANAKA reinterprets the Japanese art of origami. Made from recycled polycarbonate, the lamp evokes Japanese tea houses or stone lanterns with multi-tiered, pagoda-like roofs. The recycled plastic used is highly resistant and transparent, creating diffused light refraction and a distinctive look. The surface is matte white, giving the impression that the light is made of folded paper, an origami artwork. Yet, it is robust and suitable for outdoor use. The name SANAKA is also derived from Japanese, meaning "in the middle of doing something," hinting at the constant accessibility and activity of our modern times. It also signifies "Chisanaka," or "small house," which further connects to the design of the small lamp with its two-tiered roof. Designed by Theresa Rand, this lamp brings a touch of Japanese flair into your home, satisfying the desire for travel and wanderlust. The light has one light level, a warm white light, and can be continuously dimmed. The on/off switch is discreetly located on the top and, with its touch function, recedes into the background so as not to interfere with the design. The lamp is charged via a charging station and has a burning time of up to 42.5 hours, depending on the set light intensity.
