Balance between two materials The Olaria coffee table combines an oak veneer tabletop with a cylindrical terracotta base. The connection between the two materials creates a play on volume, where the visual lightness of the wood contrasts with the solid and tactile appeal of the ceramic. An element integrated into the architecture of the piece The terracotta base runs through the tabletop, becoming an essential component of the design. Its hollow interior allows it to be used as a planter, integrating vegetation into the structure of the table. Furthermore, a lid is included to allow it to be used at two different heights. Design and versatility Designed by Otto Bridgham and Ana Isabel de Oliveira in collaboration with Elisava, Olaria explores new ways of connecting furniture and nature. The continuous curves of the wood and the structure of the terracotta make it a piece with both sculptural and functional character.
