Collection: Livorno
Color: Light beige
Material: Velvet
Fabric: Bluvel 22
Abrasion resistance (Martindale): 100,000
Fabric composition: This is a synthetic fabric that mimics velvet with a delicate sheen. The perfect choice for elegant furniture designs. It has very good abrasion resistance, which significantly reduces the risk of damage (Martindale test 50,000, 320 g/m²). The material is extremely soft and feels silky to the touch. The fabric has passed the cigarette test, meaning the upholstery system is resistant to smoldering and ignition and complies with the PN-EN 1021-1:2014-12 standard.
Care instructions: Furniture covered with velvet fabric should be cleaned every one to two weeks. Gently brush the fabric in one direction with a soft brush or sponge. This removes dust and dirt without allowing them to penetrate deeper into the fabric. Brushing also raises the pile and prevents the so-called "crushing" effect, i.e., the flattening of fibers in areas where you sit or lean most often.
The velvet cover should be thoroughly refreshed 1–2 times a year. Gently wipe the entire fabric with a damp solution of a neutral detergent, e.g., dish soap and water. Then wipe with a clean, damp sponge or cloth to remove any detergent residue. Let the fabric air dry.
You can also use special upholstery cleaners for fabrics, such as foam, shampoo, or spray. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
In case of stains or spilled liquids, gently dab the liquid with a dry cloth or paper towel. To remove dirt from mud, ketchup, mayonnaise, yogurt, or lipstick, carefully pick up the remnants of the substance.
Use mild, neutral detergents such as dish soap or mild soap mixed with lukewarm water (one teaspoon of detergent per two cups of water) to clean the sofa. Strong cleaners and bleach can damage the cover. To avoid this, test the cleaning agent on an inconspicuous area of the furniture and wait 15 minutes.
Vacuum the fabric gently before wet cleaning to remove surface dirt so that it does not penetrate deeper into the material.
Clean the soiled area slowly and gently with circular motions from the outer edge of the stain toward the center, attempting to loosen the dirt from between the fibers.
Avoid vigorous and heavy rubbing to avoid damaging the velvet pile.
Repeat the cleaning process if necessary, increasing the cleaned area around the stain.
Apply the cleaning solution in thin layers and remove any excess immediately. If too much cleaning solution soaks into the fabric, it may become hard.
After cleaning, thoroughly wipe the treated area with a clean, damp cloth to remove the cleaning solution and prevent water spots.
Do not use hot water to remove stains, especially organic ones, as this can cause the stains to set.
After removing the stain, let the fabric air dry at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer or any other direct heat source. Do not sit on the sofa during this time, as the cover may deform.
